Description:
The Westlock Modbus Intellis I/O module, the MPAC, uses the Modbus RTU protocol to communicate serially with a DCS or PLC via the Westlock NIM (Network Interface Manager). The Modbus protocol establishes a common format for the layout and contents of all message fields. Operating commands, sent via Modbus, communicate through the NIM gateway to up to 1000 control valves connected, on a common data highway.
